Simple tips to help you feel confident, relaxed, and ready for the camera
So you’ve booked your boudoir session, cue the butterflies. It’s completely normal to feel both excited and a little nervous about what’s ahead. The good news? Preparing doesn’t have to be stressful. I’ve got you covered with a few simple tips that will help you feel confident, comfortable, and ready to shine on the day of your shoot.
1. Hydrate and Rest
Water and sleep are your best friends. Drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your session will keep your skin glowing, and giving yourself time to rest will help you feel energized and present.
2. Stretch It Out
Some of the poses we’ll do can feel like a little workout. A few light stretches the night before or the morning of your session will make it easier for you to relax and get into position without any tension.
3. Keep It Simple With Skin Care
Stick with what works for your skin. This isn’t the time to test out new products or treatments. Arrive with clean, moisturized skin and you’ll be good to go.
4. Choose Outfits That Make You Feel Good
Whether it’s lingerie, a bodysuit, or your favorite oversized shirt, bring pieces that make you feel beautiful. Confidence doesn’t come from the price tag, it comes from how you feel in what you’re wearing.
5. Skip the Tanning and Tight Clothes
Tans, spray tans, and tight clothes can leave marks that are tricky to edit. The best prep is natural skin and comfy clothing before your session.
6. Trust the Process
Most importantly, remember that you don’t have to know how to pose or perform. That’s my job. Your only role is to show up, take a deep breath, and let yourself be taken care of.
Your boudoir experience is all about celebrating you exactly as you are, and these little steps are just here to help you feel your best. By the time you walk into the studio, you’ll be ready to relax, laugh, and see yourself in a whole new light.
